Volunteer Opportunities

We are called to serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself (Gal. 5:13-14). Our community is always seeking out new opportunities for the service of Christ in our neighbors. We invite you to join with us in offering your time, talent and treasure in support of those among us. Many of our ministries and opportunities are described in the Ministry Guide. Additionally, the following opportunities are available in the near future:

Please call Trudi White Campbell at 860-756-4034 for more information on Volunteer Opportunities.

  • From preparing/serving meals for various church functions to serving at the House of Bread, our Ministry of Hospitality takes on many forms. One such form is the nighttime volunteer Church Secretary position. This part of the Ministry of Hospitality happens during the weekday evenings from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. With a smile, ministers will be the night time “Face of our Parish” by answering the phone and doors, doing light office work and helping visitors find their program location. Please consider becoming part of our Ministry of Hospitality.

  • Have you ever wondered how to become an Altar Server, Choir member, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Usher, or Sacristan to assist in our worship on the weekends here at St. Patrick-St. Anthony? Give us a call to find out more.

Donations Needed:

It’s that time of year again! We are looking for donations of  NEW men’s and women’s gloves, socks, scarves and mittens to give to our brothers and sisters who come to the door in need. Please bring the items in and place them in the green basket in the back of the church. Thank you!

Help the Homeless:

Most homeless people lack decent footwear. The nonprofit Footwear with Care effort provides decent shoes, boots and socks to Hartford’s homeless. With deep discounts from manufacturers, Footwear with Care can buy a great pair of winter-style hiking boots for as little as $35. Please consider donating directly at https://www.cpa-ct.org/footwear-withcare/.
