	Notre Dame Learning Center In September 2008, the Notre Dame Learning Center opened in the lower level of the Franciscan Center for Urban Ministry. Presently enrolled are adult immigrants from ten different countries who are eager to learn English skills. The program is open to residents of Catherine's Place and residents of Hartford desirous of improving their reading and writing skills as well as their computer literacy and math skills that need refreshing. This pilot program is sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame. Volunteer teachers are always welcome. If interested, please contact Sister Sheila Palmer at (860) 246-8414.
