Susan, recently retired from working in the corporate world in several capacities, offers assistance to the parish staff in scheduling programs and events at the Urban Center. A Connecticut resident for over 25 years, Susan received a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts from Notre Dame College, Cleveland, Ohio. Leisure interests include calligraphy, music listening, and museum visiting.
John is a graduate of Paier College of Art. He has coordinated weddings for several years before joining the staff. As the sacristy decor designer, John works with volunteers to decorate the church for many occasions. Besides being part of the church decor ministry, John is a member of the liturgical advisory committee. John also has his own private floral business, PaxFleur.
Pat joined the Pastoral Staff in December, 2001. One of her primary
responsibilities is to provide programs and opportunities to address
the needs of women in the parish and to develop an outreach to women
in the city. Prior to relocating back to Connecticut, Pat lived and
worked in Rochester, NY - first as a systems analyst for Eastman Kodak
and then (after a career change) she served as a Pastoral Associate
for 12 years in the Diocese of Rochester at St. John the Evangelist
Church. She enjoys working collaboratively with staff and parishioners
to build up our faith community. Pat has an M. A. degree in Pastoral
Ministry from Boston College.
Fr. Tom joined St. Patrick-St. Anthony in 2008 as pastor. Previously, he served as Novice Master/Director for nine years for the Holy Name Province. He has also served for 14 years in parish ministry in Little Falls, NJ and 4 years at St. Francis Retreat Center in Rye Beach, NH. Fr. Tom has a B.A. in Speech Therapy from Montclair State College and a M.A. in Theology from Washington Theological Union.
Denis is the Executive Director of the Jewish Association for Community Living, a nonprofit organization that operates group homes and supported living programs for adults with intellectual disabilities including mental retardation and autism. Denis serves in a variety of capacities at St. Patrick - St. Anthony. Currently he oversees the lector ministry, is the weekend sacristan and is a member of the Liturgical Advisory Committee. Denis and his wife Faith VosWinkel live in East Hartford and are the proud parents of Conor and Norah.
Fr. Andrew was part of the original Franciscan ministry team that arrived
at St. Patrick-St. Anthony in 1990. Previously, he was a member of a
Franciscan Team Ministry in Wanaque, NJ as well as a member of the Provincial
Council and director of personnel for Holy Name Province. He left St. Patrick-St. Anthony
in 1992 to become guardian and rector of St. Francis Chapel in Providence,
RI, returning to our church in 1995. He has a B.A. from St. Bonaventure
University. When not entertaining family and friends, Fr. Andrew enjoys
walking and taking care of his dog Hunter.
Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Reading and Language Arts from Central Connecticut State University. She has been teaching in New Britain for 13 years, initially at Holy Cross School in first grade, and recently in the public schools in fifth, seventh and currently job sharing a first grade classroom. She was also a synchronized swimmer and supervisor at the School of Swimming in Rocky Hill.
Mary has been at St. Patrick – St. Anthony since 2005 as the Coordinator of Religious Education and the Family Program. She assists the DRE with various responsibilities which include the Sacramental Preparation program and Protecting God’s Children. The Family Program is a Religious Education program for children of all ages and their entire family. It meets monthly and takes families on a mini retreat to deepen their individual relationships with God, as well as nurturing faith growth as a family unit. The Family Program allows children and their parents time to spend reflecting and communicating with each other and their peers while also learning about liturgical themes. It is an enriching experience for all involved!
Carol and her husband became parishioners at St. Patrick - St. Anthony Church in 1991 when they were married by Father Andrew Giardino. Currently a graduate student at Boston College School of Theology and Ministry (M. Ed. in Religious Education), Carol is excited to be facilitating the 7th and 8th Grade Ministry Program for the second year. She has been involved in religious education since 1999 and participated in the establishment of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program here at St. Patrick St. Anthony Church where she has been a catechist since 2005. She has also enjoyed assisting with the material requirements of this Montessori based program. She resides in Glastonbury with her husband, two lovely teenage daughters, and dogs, Yoda and Winky. Carol received a BA in Psychology from The University of Connecticut and is an enthusiastic student of the viola da gamba, a Renaissance/Baroque bowed instrument that resembles a cello.

In addition to managing the databases and web page for St. Patrick-St.
Anthony Church and the Franciscan Center for Urban Ministry, Pam provides
her layout skills to help in the publication of the quarterly newsletter, CHURCH STREET LIFE, brochures announcing the Adult Faith Formation programs
and many other various publications distributed by the Church and Center.Pam is a member of a two professional choral
groups, CONCORA (Connecticut Choral Artists) based out of New Britain
and Gaudeamus out of Torrington. In addition she performs locally as
a soloist in many venues including with the Middletown Chorale and the
Manchester Symphony Orchestra. Pam received her Bachelor of Music Degree
in Performance from Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton,
Wisconsin. She lives with her husband, Matt and her two sons, Robert

Fr. Mike Jones, ofm has left St. Patrick-St. Anthony to assume the position of Pastor at St. Anthony of Padua in Butler, NJ. If you want to drop him a line his email is mjones@saopp.org
Lauren is a graduate of East Catholic High School and received my bachelors degree from Assumption College in Worcester and then went on to receive my masters degree in Social Work from The University of Connecticut. Lauren lives with her husband Derrick and three children Mary, Kevin and Megan in Colchester. She coordinate the Traditional Program and assist in Sacramental preparation for the children in the parish.
Fr. John Leonard, o.f.m. hails from Melrose, Massachusetts, a city situated about eight miles north of Boston. His parents Peter and Margaret are originally from County Cork in Ireland. He is the oldest of five children, having three sisters and a brother, all currently residing in the Boston area.
After graduating from Tufts University in 1981 John worked for several years in the Boston area. He was admitted to the Franciscans' program of initial formation in the summer of 1989. He subsequently professed solemn vows with the Franciscans in September of 1995 and was ordained a priest the following May. His first three parish assignments were in the area of Northern New Jersey: at Our Lady of the Holy Angels in Little Falls (1996-2001), St. Anne's in Fair Lawn (2001-2005) and St. Anthony of Padua in Butler (2005-2010). His current assignment at St. Patrick-St. Anthony began in early July (2010).
Conductor, pianist and tenor Gabriel Löfvall serves as our Director of Music Ministry. He grew up listening to the sounds of the tango in his native Argentina. Born in the city of Mendoza, Gabriel attended the National University of Cuyo and sang with the Boys’ Choir there, as a youth, under Marcelo Coltro. He studied piano with Dora De Marinis. He moved to the US in 1997, where he received a Masters of Music in piano performance from the Hartt School of the University of Hartford, under Luiz de Moura Castro, and at this time, is pursuing another Masters in the same school, in Choral Conducting, under Dr. Edward Bolkovac. Gabriel has taken his music to many different corners of the world: Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, England, Portugal, Spain and the US. He is a member of the professional choral ensemble CONCORA, directed by Richard Coffey, a group he has also accompanied on occasion, and also co-directs the vocal ensemble Vallis Musicæ, an ecumenical project that binds three church choirs for seasonal performances and international tours. Gabriel is the assistant conductor for The Main Street Singers of New Britain.
Bro. Erick Lopez, ofm is a Franciscan friar of the Order of Friars Minor of Holy Name Province. As a friar minor, he professed his simple vows on June 3rd, 2006. He finished his third year of theological studies at Washington Theological Union this past May and now has moved forward to engage in his pastoral year at Saint Patrick-Saint Anthony. For him this is a year of both practicing what he has learned and learn through practice what it means to be a “friar minor.” Following his pastoral year, Bro. Erick will make his solemn profession in the Order and finish his studies so as to serve God’s people. Bro. Erick was born in Cuba, has a degree in Chemistry from La Universidad del Valle, Colombia, and immigrated to the United States in 1999.
Fran was born and raised in Hartford. She graduated
from Bulkeley High School and attended the University of Hartford. Prior
to coming to St. Patrick-St. Anthony in 1996, she worked for CIGNA Corporation.
Fran is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time at the casinos and with Hunter.
Deb has been involved with Religious Education for over 14 years. Having completed extensive studies in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, she was part of the team which brought the program to St. Patrick‐St. Anthony. She is also a nationally recognized formation leader for the Catechesis of the Good
Shepherd. Deb received her undergraduate degree from the University of CT and her graduate degree from RPI. In addition to serving as religious education team coordinator and coordinator of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, Deb teaches graduate studies at Springfield College. Deb
and her husband Rod are also the proud parents of their son Nick.

Orville, a native of Jamaica, West Indies, graduated
from Montego Bay Technical School with a degree in automotive mechanics
and general studies. He is also a trained tailor and spent four years
in biblical studies, after which he served as assistant pastor of his
home church in Jamaica. He came to the U.S. in 1982. Orville joined
St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church in January 2000 after working on the
construction of our new Urban Center. He enjoys music, cooking and fashion.
Faith Vos Winkel has been with the Office of Religious Education since 2000. She provided primary assistance to the DRE until 2006 when Faith assumed the responsibility for the Confirmation Program. Faith holds a Bachelor of General Studies degree and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut.
Faith is married with two children. Her son Conor is a student at Siena College, and her daughter Norah is a student at East Catholic High School. Faith enjoys reading, teaching and her 13 year-old Bichon Frise, Shea.
Trudi White joined the staff of St. Patrick-St. Anthony in 2004 bringing experience in Volunteer/Ministry Management and sales training, Trudi, a graduate of Wheaton College, and University of the South Education for Ministry program, has an extensive background in teaching and performing as a flutist in the Hartford and Boston areas. Trudi was designated a Certified Volunteer Admnistrator in 2010, granted by the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration. Trudi's work at St. Patrick – St. Anthony Church and The Franciscan Center for Urban Ministry continue to challenge her in the areas of community building and empowerment of all the baptized. Additionally Trudi is involved with “storyholding”, also known as Spiritual Direction for people on the margins. Trudi lives in Glastonbury with her son Justin.
